News for Week of December 8, 2008
Dear Parents,
Happy Monday! This is a busy time everywhere, especially here at Bellehaven.
The children really enjoyed going to Mexico and Holland last week. They enjoyed making their luminaries and drinking hot chocolate and biscochitos. This week we will be visiting Germany, Sweden, and Israel.
Our letter this week will be “Bb.” We will be making “My Bb Book”, our tactile activity and What’s in Bear’s Basket with our B words. We will be making Barnaby Beaver for our listening activity. Please reinforce this letter and sound with your child at home.
We have enjoyed listening to the children’s traditions. This week’s schedule is:
Monday - Anyssa and Matthew
Tuesday - Jone’t and Jakob
Wednesday - Amanda and Hunter
Thursday - Kaya and Gabriel
Friday - Kiara and Samara
Remember if you don’t have a tradition; please bring in something that begins with the letter B.
Thanks to the parents who have sent in a bag of candy for our gingerbread houses. We will be making those this Wednesday for our luncheon on Thursday. If you want to send in a bag, please send by Wednesday. Thanks!
Reminder: This Thursday is our December Southwest Holiday meal. If you are planning to join your child for lunch, please send in your money (Cash only) no later than Wednesday, the 10th.
The family that we adopted is a family of three. If you can help out they need size 3 diapers, size 18 clothes for a boy, one year old toys, towels, a medium size jacket for dad and a medium size jacket for the mom. Please let me know if you can help with any of these items. The deadline to bring in these items is December 17th. Thanks!
Have a great week and keep reading every night to your child it is so important!
